We firmly believe, especially in this day and age, that Martial Arts should be available and affordable to as many individuals as possible. We think that everyone should enjoy the journey and have safe travels along the path, while they learn useful and effective methods for self defense, self discipline, self confidence and self improvement.
We are a Self-Defense Martial Arts System. We train towards reality based situations, where it is a matter of survival and safety for self, loved ones and others in our care. Students will eventually learn to defend against multiple attackers, train on a variety of surfaces (rolling around on concrete or asphalt is much different than on mats or even carpet, so we try to avoid that), and against a variety of weapons. Our ranking system consists of five stripes per rank/belt with twelve ranks/belts to reach Shodan/Black Belt. Each stripe and rank is awarded based solely on the students understanding and ability to demonstrate the appropriate forms and techniques. We firmly believe in having fun and enjoying what we do. It helps the learning and training process to advance much more smoothly and quickly. We do discuss a large variety of philosophies to provide an improved method of conflict resolution for hostile and non-hostile situations, in public, in school, in business, in relationships . . . in everyday life.
